When they chose us as their interior partners, we were not only conscious of this challenge, but also the unique architecture of the building – it was shaped like a spanner! We brainstormed internally to transform the space into a long sequential set of closed and open spaces, held together by a single corridor. The twists and turns of the corridor were celebrated with custom-designed planter boxes and furniture, as well as layouts that complement the shape of the corridor. The floor-level variation between the pantry and the corridor was highlighted with a broad frame and a ramp that ensured people safety and ease of movement, and in the bargain made for a great design feature.
